The Marysville Globe and Arlington Times are launching new Web sites with expanded capabilities and enhanced services to ensure our communities are provided with the most current information possible.
The new sites will continue to have the existing web addresses — www.arlingtontimes.com and www.marysvilleglobe.com — but will have a new look, new capabilities and new features.
One of the most significant improvements of the new Web sites is that they will be updated on a daily basis with new stories and new information. You’ll be able to come back to the improved sites every day and find something new. In addition, the Web sites feature a readerboard across the top in which headlines for breaking news will scroll across the top of the page so you can be informed about what is happening in your community.
The new Web sites also provide the capability for us to post video clips of some of the stories we cover. Our goal in the near future will be to post at least one new video per week.
The main section of the page categorizes the information so that it will be easy to navigate. It features News, Sports, Entertainment, Business, Lifestyles, Community, Opinion and Letters. The pages also offers Weather, Horoscopes, Lotteries, Comics, Obituaries, Classified and more.
In addition to the strictly local news about our communities, the new sites offer links to The Most Read Stories in The Region and The Most Read Stories in Washington.
We also plan in the near future to add a service which will enable us to post all of our photos (those that made it into the paper and those that didn’t) and allow our readers to order copies of their favorites.
Readers are not the only ones who will benefit from the new Web sites. Local businesses will be able to advertise on the sites. There are a number of options available to help them get the message out to the community.
Check out the new Web sites at www.arlingtontimes.com and www.marysvilleglobe.com and see all the new feature for your self. And go back every day to get the latest information about your community and those who call it home.
