TULALIP – Jake Harris, one of the stars of the hit reality TV series “Deadliest Catch,” left the Quil Ceda Creek Casino in Tulalip over the weekend, catching a ride with some people he didn’t know.

That was a mistake because when they reached Everett he was assaulted and robbed. But thanks for social media, two people in Spokane have been arrested in connection with the assault.

Amanda Ritter, 30, and Jorel Fultz, 29, were arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail Tuesday on suspicion of robbing Jake Harris, according to The Spokesman-Review.

Josh Harris, captain of the crab fishing vessel Cornelia Marie, said on social media that his brother, Jake, also a cast member on the show, was beaten and severely injured Saturday night. Police said they received a report of “a male victim of an assault” at about 8 p.m. Saturday.

Harris had just left the Quil Ceda Creek Casino and got into a car with multiple people, police said. They drove south and got onto Highway 526 in south Everett, when at some point an assault broke out inside the vehicle.

Jake Harris was found by a passer-by, who called 911. Police found him after the call in the 700 block of Highway 526.. Jake Harris refused medical attention and was taken home by police. Harris was later taken to the hospital by friends or family members, police said. He remains hospitalized in “satisfactory condition.”

Josh Harris has provided video updates on social media showing picures of the alleged attackers, but also saying to let law enforcement do its job, because tips are leading them toward arrests.

The Harris family has been featured on the Discovery Channel show for a decade.
