There’s nothing quite like the excitement that comes with the anticipation of a new school year.
Families are busy making sure that school clothes, haircuts and supplies are all in order, while Marysville School District employees have done their part during the summer to ensure that schools have been cleaned and polished and ready to go.
Teachers have spent the summer attending workshops and collaborating with each other, focusing on new ways to reach and support all students and their learning.
Preparations include all schools having opening day activities that engage, support and focus on the well-being of every student.
The Marysville school board knows that schools are the heart of any community, and we take great pride in knowing that our teaching and learning professionals are of the highest quality.
We encourage all students and families to explore the many curricular and co-curricular activities that we offer, knowing they will deliver great learning as well as a lifetime of pleasant memories.
Schools are about more than academics alone, and it is well-documented that school activities aid the development of intellectual, social and emotional needs of each student.
We would ask that you actively promote student daily attendance, giving one’s best effort, and understanding, empathizing and working with others.
Be sure to find out who your students’ teachers and principal are and learn the best ways to connect with them.
By keeping in constant communication with your teachers and schools, parents and students will be creating the recipe for success.
The Marysville School Board wishes you all the very best.
Our job is to ensure that schools are meeting your student’s learning and growth needs, and we value your feedback on how we are doing.
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year.
Let’s make it the best ever!
