Biringer Farm

Biringer Farm, Hwy 529 between Everett and Marysville at 4625 40th Place NE, Everett) will be open all of October, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily (weather permitting). People powered by wheelbarrows, feed resident goats 25’ in the air, jump in the hay and ride tired horses in Fort Coyote. Harvest Party

Grand View Community Center is putting on the Annual Harvest Party on October 25th at 7 p.m. Tickets are 5 for $1 and its going to be held at 11506 Smokes RD. Arlington. There will be a cake walk, darts, pumpkin bowling, live music, pizza and a bake sale. All the proceeds go to the G.C.C. For more information contact Emily Speed at 360-435-0813.

Halloween Carnival

Old Time Fiddlers

The Old Time Fiddlers meets Friday evenings Oct. 24, Nov. 14 and 28 and Dec. 12 at the old Arlington High School, 135 South French Street, Arlington. No jam on Dec. 26. Celtic jam is at 5 p.m., workshop at 6 p.m., and circle jam begins at 7 p.m. Music, jamming and snacks throughout the evening. Greater Marysville Artists’ Guild.

A meeting for artist to and see demonstrations of different mediums, to hear speakers, to have your work critiqued and participate in shows. At The Sunnyside Nursery, 3915 Sunnyside Boulevard, Marysville. On October 25th and 26th from 9:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. They will have an autumn plant sale and the Guild will have fine art, prints, cards and Christmas gifts for sale. There will also be a variety of crafts for the children. Haunted Maze

Stanwood Center is hosting Stanwood’s Haunted Maze on Oct. 31st and Nov. 1st 5-9 p.m. There will be spooky elevator ride into the darkness of goblins and more. Admission is $5 and it is located at the Stanwood Center, 7430 276th St. NW, Stanwood. For more information please call 689-7403 ext. 112.

Families are encouraged to join us to solve the mystery of who stole the principals laptop. Participants will use investigative strategies and become detectives to solve this mystery.

40 Developmental Assets presentation 6-7PM by Pete Lundberg

Participants will learn about the 40 Developmental Assets as developed and monitored by The Search Institute. The Assets are factors in teens lives that are shown to help them grow up more healthy, caring and responsible.

Sleeping over with science and arts

Western Washington University is hosting Sleeping Over with Science and Art (SOSA) Oct. 24-25, for students in grades 3-5 who are interested in science or art. The cost for the sleep over is $55 per person and includes; instruction, overnight supervision, materials, snacks and continental breakfast. Participants need to bring sleeping bag, pillow, toothbrush and toothpaste and a jacket. Campers sleep in their own clothes and are separated by gender during the sleep over. Flu shots

The Arlington Pharmacy will be giving flu shots Nov. 5, 2008 at the Stillaguamish Senior Center: Times are : 9:00 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Senior Center’s Library Building. Please contact the center at 360- 653-4551 and make your reservations.

Who is your hero?

The American Red Cross is looking for “real heroes,” who live or work in Snohomish County, to honor at the Real Heroes Breakfast in December. Nominees must have performed a heroic act between Oct. 6, 2007 and Oct. 6, 2008. Grand Gala

Friday evening, Dec. 5, will be a “Grand Gala” with wine, cheese, hors d’oeuvres and wonderful Christmas music for entertainment in a beautiful festive environment. $35. This is the event were the Festival of Tree trees will be auctioned off. Saturday, Dec. 6, bring the family and view all the beautiful decorated trees. Carriage rides, face painting, live holiday entertainment and Christmas shopping at the Kris Kringle and Candy Land Stores. Norwegian delicacies including baked goods, pickled herring and lefse.

ARC runs for Toys for Tots

Arlington Runners Club’s final run of the year is the Marines Toys for Tots Run on Dec. 13.
