MARYSVILLE – There are craft shows all over the place this time of year.

But the one Saturday at Totem Middle School was special. It benefitted the American Cancer Society.

A few dozen vendors rented spots for $25 each. And many of the vendors donated some or all of their proceeds to the ACS. Poinsettias were sold with that money also being donated.

Some good buys were available: snowman wreaths for $30, WSU necklaces for $20, personalized elfs for $5 and even slime for $1.

Santa was there to make sure all the children behaved.

There was even a plug for the ACS’s biggest fundraiser of the year – The Relay for Life. This year it will be July 20-21 from noon to 8 a.m. at Asbery Field. The theme is Campout vs. Cancer.
