Local teams start high school basketball playoffs starting Wednesday.
The Marysville Getchell girls, 5-9, travel to Lynnwood, 8-6, to play at 7 p.m. The home team beat the Chargers in league play last month 47-38.
Thursday, the Arlington boys, 8-6, play host to Ferndale, 5-8, at 7 p.m. The visitors beat the home team in a non-league game in the third game of the year 71-54.
Friday, the Arlington girls, who tied for first with a 13-1 record, will host a game at 7 p.m. against a team yet to be determined.
Lakewood’s boys, 9-4, is in the same situation, hosting an unknown team Saturday at 7 p.m.
Likewise Marysville-Pilchuck, which won the Wesco North with a 14-0 record, will play host to someone at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Also Saturday, the MG boys, 9-5, will play at Shorecrest, 10-4, Saturday at 7 p.m. In the fourth game of the season, Shorecrest beat the Chargers 66-37.
